BARBARA  BERRNER

Barbara became fascinated with the process of silkscreening an image on paper and printing on material. In time she started a small business of printing T-shirts for 6th grade graduating classes.  Later, she renewed her interest in watercolor.  As she mastered the skill of watercolor, she experimented with incorporating watercolor and silkscreening into one painting, with success!  As time progressed she incorporated a variety of water based mediums into one painting to convey a different message.

Recently she has added tissue paper to her work, successfully combining several mediums into one piece of art.   She particularly likes the sharpness and clarity of silkscreen and the blending effect of watercolor.  At this time she is experimenting with the dynamics and tension of one color against another and using  a variety of water mediums in a painting or print.  She likes to experiment with a various mediums and techniques.

Barbara’s work are in various private collections and the city of Livermore.  Her watercolor/mono print was displayed at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara, California.
